What is causing my dizziness?

Dizziness is a symptom that can be caused by many different diseases, for example from the areas of neurology; ear, nose and throat medicine; or internal medicine. People experience dizziness differently, variably describing it as a spinning, swaying or upward-pulling sensation, or as a feeling of insecurity or a daze. In neurology, the cause can be sought through targeted diagnostics (EEG, ultrasonography of the brain arteries and nerve measurements, including of the auditory vestibular nerve). A referral for a cranial MRI is often necessary.
